Matt called me on his way home from work, like always, and told me he had a little surprise for me. He's so good at doing little things to make me smile but, those of you who know me, know I don't like surprises. I always like to know what's going on, I hate not knowing.... It drives me crazy. So I made him give me a hint. He told me it had to do with food, like a treat. So I was thinking it was going to be like a cupcake from Sprinkles, or maybe a chocolate from sees....both of which would be a fabulous surprise for me and my out of control sweet tooth.
He gets home and tells me that I have to wait for my surprise until the next night.....umm...why...
Don't tell me you have a surprise then make me wait forever (yes, a day is equivalent to forever in this case) to find out what it is!!! The suspense was really keeping me up that night. After tickle torturing him for a solid 20 minutes he still wouldn't budge! I had to wait...
So here we are.. next day and we had a few friends come over for lunch and of course Matt told them what the surprise was...and there I was just cluelessly waiting to find out for myself haha then I get another hint..he said it was a really pretty spot with an amazing view and great food but it was about an hour away...
So now I'm thinking it's a nice steakhouse maybe on a rooftop??
Then in the car after driving for 10 minutes he FINALLY told me..we were going to see BEYONCE AND JAY-Z!!!!!
I was pumped, screaming, on the verge of tears, and couldn't stop hugging Matt's right arm while he drove haha SO excited! I love Beyonce, she is absolutely amazing, incredibly talented and he knew I wanted to see her in concert so bad. One of the best surprises ever!!
I went from thinking I was getting a cupcake, to a nice dinner, then BAM we are going to a BEYONCE CONCERT.
When Matt does things he goes all out, this was no exception, he got us box seats with our own suite and they also served food for us, all included! So I guess all the hints he gave me were valid.. :)

Beyonce is absolutely amazing in concert, her voice is flawless and so powerful. She is also an amazing performer, and dancer, ahhhhh I love her!!! It's no wonder why I pretend I sing like her all the time.. (she does show her bum a lot tho..I guess who wouldn't if they looked like her?) haha
I was happy to see Beyonce and Jay-Z look so in love on stage and it seemed like they were having the time of their lives! I hope they really are happy and aren't just putting on a front like a few articles I have read. They closed with Forever Young and there was the cutest video playing on the big screen of them with their little baby enjoying life together. It was cool to see them living their life like a "normal" happy family.
I'll do myself a favor and not post the video of me singing along to Love on top.....got a little wild!! haha
