Hollywood Hills!

So all the boys have been wanting to do the Hollywood hike for a while and we finally got around to it last weekend! They kept looking at me like I would know where to go but I hadn't done it before either. It's weird sometimes when you grow up in a certain place you are so used to seeing things that they aren't a big deal to you like it would be to someone else. I was missing out! The views were amazing! It was harder than I thought, which made for a better workout. Plus, it's been HOT hot the past few days but the day we went it was nice and breezy, perfect hiking day!

This was after and we realized we didn't get a good pic so we went to the touristy spot and got one! People surrounding us were speaking all different languages it was cool!

After the hike we had to go to Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills.........it's my favorite...

SO good....after all, we workout so we can eat sugary treats, right?!

Very fun hike with the crew! Matt and I are always looking for more hikes if anyone knows of any awesome ones around here comment below! We would love to try it out!

Birthdays

Matt turned 26! He's now in his LATE twenties....ahh!!

I loved spoiling him for his birthday, I made him breakfast in bed that he loved, we went to get massages and went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch! I also got him some sweet presents. 

He said it was his favorite birthday he's had yet, score!! It's fun to celebrate the people you love the most and do cute little things for them on their special day! 

In honor of his birthday, a few things I love about him... 

Matt is always so positive and sees the bright side in everything, he makes everything more fun, he's funny and makes people laugh, he's really easy to get along with and very friendly, he has the best heart and is so sweet, he's one of the hardest workers, his motivation and ambition is out of this world, he is so smart, he is always smiling, he is strong, he is always there for me and will do anything for me, he cares about me more than anyone else in the world, he has the best dimples, he is very handsome, his hair is awesome, he's going to be the best dad one day, he is very confident nothing brings him down, he is a leader, he has such a strong testimony, he is my best friend, and has the greatest potential of anyone I know!!! YAY Matt!

July is the birthday month in my family we literally have like 5 birthdays this month, so we had a big family birthday BBQ! This is actually the only picture I got there, wish I got more! But really though, this little munchkin makes me want to have my own already! He's just so cute and soft I love it.

So I knocked with Matt a few days last week and he sold this guy who turned out to be the Bodyguard of a few famous people. Including Eminem, Snoop Dog, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Slightly Stoopid, and a few more! I knew that Slightly Stoopid was playing in Irvine this summer so I asked him about it! Next thing we knew he was on the phone with Miles, the lead singer of Slightly Stoopid! They were totally buddies, it was so cool. He took our names and said "See you at the concert, excited to meet you!" 

So we showed up, got free tickets to the concert and backstage! 

It was awesome!!! 

Casually hanging out with Miles backstage, he's such a cool guy! Very down to earth which isn't surprising! 

We were this close to them the whole time, I even saw them spit while they were singing..

the FOURTH of July

Ok first of all I just want to talk about how great blogging is. I know I'll be so happy I blogged things we did so later on we can look back at different phases in our life and remember the fun things we did! For some reason I'm really bad at writing in my journal, I always get distracted and end up doing something totally different, maybe because my journal is on my iPad and theres like a million things to do or look up... 

So blogging it is. If you re reading this and don't have a blog, make one! You'll be glad you did. It's a good life journal to have and awesome to keep up with people. I like reading other peoples blogs and I don't even feel creepy because that's what it's there for!!!! 

SOO...the 4th of July!!!

I love this holiday and celebrating our freedom! I get tears in my eyes sometimes thinking of how blessed we are to live in this amazing country. Especially because of the soldiers and people who have died, risked their lives, missed babies being born, spent months away from their families, and seen heartbreaking tragedies, all so we could be free. 

I am so grateful & proud to be an American. 

Our friends told us about the amazing firework show at the end of the Angels Game, and the stadium is super close to where we live right now so it was a given, we had to go. And I'm so glad we did! It was really fun!

Even though baseball games can be boring when they end the way this one did it makes it all worth it! Trout (one of the favorites on the team) was the last at bat and smacked it out of the park, and won the game for the Angels! It was awesome!

After the game we went back to our place and lit off some of our own fireworks that Matt got! I'm just glad we didn't all get arrested..haha I was a little worried for a minute..

Lord help me if our future children are extreme pyro's like their dad..... haha
